The Consort Lions Club offers two scholarship awards, on an annual basis.
The award is offered to students who enroll in one-year certificate programs, two year diploma programs or Apprenticeship training programs at a Canadian post-secondary institution. Preference will be given to Technical and apprenticeship Training Programs.
The awards will be offered annually, valued at $500 each

For high school graduating students who are a Canadian resident, enrolled in a post-secondary institution in an agricultural program.

Two $500 scholarships will be awarded annually to graduates of Consort School
Criteria:
must have completed Grade 9 at Veteran School and be a resident of the Veteran area as defined by the following boundaries:
* North to the County of Paintearth
* South to Special Area #2
* East to the Loyalist road
* West to the County of Paintearth
2. must be registered to enter post-secondary education on the year they apply for the scholarship,
3. must have a strong academic record, however he/she does not have to be the top student in the class,
4. must have demonstrated community involvement by participation in activities such as sports, 4-H activities, or other leadership roles in the community,
5. must demonstrate financial need.
To apply for one of these scholarships, you must complete an application form available from your school. A letter of recommendation from either the school counsellor or principal must accompany the application.
Applications must be received no later than June 1st of the year in which they plan to attend a post-secondary institution. The selection process committee will include representation from the Veteran and District Lions Club and Consort School. Successful applicants will be notified over the summer.
They will receive a cheque from the Veteran & District Lions Club once attendance at a post-secondary institution is confirmed in the fall (please provide such confirmation to the Veteran & District Lions Club, Veteran, AB, T0C 2S0)
