All students in Alberta are welcome to compete and come learn more about the academy.
The Prairie Land Renegades Rodeo Academy is a new venture meant to help students practice and develop their rodeo skills while earning high school credits. The academy will help students in Grade 6-12 by offering practice times, clinics, classroom sessions, and more. Students will have the opportunity to work with athletes from both the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association and Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association to help grow their skillset. The mission of the academy is to assist young rodeo athletes to become the best version of themselves inside and outside of the arena.
Students who wish to compete in collegiate rodeo associations will receive assistance in reaching out to coaches across North America. There is scholarship money that students can receive for being part of a collegiate team and we want to help them find it and the team that suits them.
The program is being spearheaded by Dixon Tattrie, as the Program Director, and Jodie Gordon, as the Academic Supervisor. Both are Youngstown School graduates with strong ties to the Prairie Land School Division and the rodeo industry.
